Maybe performed by Janis Joplin - I was going to save this for Cover Friday, but I could not wait.  Janis Joplin was the Queen of Blues Rock and simply put had one of the all-time greatest and most authentic rock voices ever.

Maybe is not her most well known, but it is the tune with the most soul.  Originally a 50’s hit by the all-female group, The Chantels, Janis kills this song.  It highlights everything that was amazing about her voice, her story, and her passion.  What she brought to audiences in the short time she lived is forever timeless and will sound just as good then as it does now and as it will 500 years from now.
